Privacy Policy
L IV. Consulting Group, LLC ("L IV.", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website or engage us for consulting work, how we use it, and the choices you have.
01Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book a working call, email us, or sign an engagement letter, you may share your name, company, role, email address, phone number, and details about your operating situation. We only collect what is necessary to evaluate fit and deliver the work.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we log standard request data (IP address, user agent, referrer, pages viewed) for security, debugging, and aggregate analytics. We use a lightweight A/B test on the homepage headline; the assigned variant is stored in your browser's local storage and is not tied to your identity.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
02How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and schedule working calls.
- To deliver consulting engagements and related communications.
- To send occasional follow-ups about your project (never marketing spam).
- To improve the website, measure performance, and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
03Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with: (a) service providers who help us operate the site, hosting, email and scheduling (under confidentiality), (b) professional advisors, and (c) authorities when required by law. Client-engagement information is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to third parties without permission.
04Retention
Inquiry emails are retained for up to 24 months. Engagement records and deliverables are retained for the duration of the engagement plus seven years for tax, audit and legal-defense purposes, then deleted or anonymized. Web logs are retained for up to 90 days.
05Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California, the EU/UK, and other jurisdictions with similar laws) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or limit the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Email j.a.rico@outlook.com to exercise any of these rights — we will respond within 30 days.
06Cookies and similar technologies
We use the minimum cookies and local storage required to run the site: language preference, the homepage A/B variant assignment, and aggregate analytics. You can clear or block them in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.
07Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, principle of least privilege). No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
08International transfers
We operate from the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US under appropriate safeguards.
09Changes
We may update this policy as the practice evolves. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
